If you are interested in finding great line dancing songs to practice your line dancing skills or you want to DJ a wedding or party, here are my 8 tips to find popular line dancing songs.

Country Music Clubs or Bars

A good place to start is to go to a country music club or line dance club where you will see line dancers boot-scooting to all the latest music. There is usually a country music club and possibly bar in every major city in the western world and depending on your geographic location there could be many of them.

Line Dancing Magazines

There are several respectable line dancing magazines and subscriptions where you can keep up with the latest and greatest in everything from music to fashions and the latest dance steps.

The Internet

Just start searching and you will find everything and anything you could possibly want to know about line dancing as well as great sources for new and old line dancing songs. By searching out what other people are dancing to, whether it is on blog posts or YouTube, you can see what the current trends and dances are and what music is used for them.

The Line Dance CD

The Line Dance CD is not currently available.

Line Dance Classes

There are line dance classes where you can learn the steps and see what songs are being used and what you may be listening to in the future. You will soon learn to hear if the song is the right speed and rhythm for line dancing.

Country Radio

Country Radio as well as the top 40 Country music charts can be good sources to discover up to the minute country line dance music.

There are Forums online that you can join (often for free) that bring together line dancers from all around the world sharing information about new line dancing songs that are coming out as well as new dance steps and you can also share stories about your experiences with other members.

Line Dancing Clubs

There are even clubs that meet in local areas to unite like minded people and sometimes they will include a live country band at special events. These clubs are a great way to make new friends and to find all kinds of new music you may not have heard of especially if it country music is not on a local radio station or supported in your local area.

I must say that Country music is my favorite music but today’s line dancers dance to songs in almost any genre. You’ll find is hip hop line dance, soul line dance, obviously country line dance and I bet there are also Reggae and classical line dancing songs as well. Something for everyone. Get involved and dance off the inches.
